Online playback
The app connects to YouTube/Google only after the user accepts the in-app disclosure and opens a video. It uses YouTube's official embedded player in a nonpersistent web session. Loading or playing a video sends the requested video identifier, playback interactions, and ordinary network information such as an IP address and device/browser information to YouTube/Google.
Google may use that information for service operation, security, analytics, personalization, and advertising under the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service. An IP address may provide approximate location. The publisher does not receive the embedded player's network data.
The app does not provide YouTube search, request access to a Google or YouTube account, obtain Google OAuth tokens, or download, save, convert, or extract YouTube media.
Purchases
Basic YouTube playback is free. Optional subscriptions and lifetime purchases unlock StreamFrame's independent premium tools and do not purchase YouTube content. Apple processes purchases. The app uses StoreKit to retrieve localized offers, make and restore purchases, and verify signed entitlements locally. The publisher does not operate a customer account or subscription server.
Data stored on the Mac
- Privacy choice: disclosure version and acceptance time.
- Opened-video history: URL, title, date, and a random local row identifier, up to 200 entries.
- Preferences: playback, privacy, accessibility, and interface choices.
- Redacted diagnostics: bounded nonsecret event codes and typed metadata, up to 7 days or 1 MiB when enabled.
- Apple MetricKit data: optional diagnostic payloads, up to 30 days or 10 payloads when enabled.
Each optional category has an independent setting and deletion control. Privacy Settings can clear categories, withdraw consent and clear YouTube/Google website data, or delete all local app data. Apple-managed purchase records are not deleted by the app.
Support reports
Reports are created only at the user's request. The app presents a preview and does not automatically transmit a report. The user chooses whether and where to save, copy, or share it. Sensitive diagnostic context is excluded unless selected for that report.
Tracking and advertising
The publisher does not include an advertising SDK and does not use app data to track users across other companies' apps or websites. The embedded YouTube player may show YouTube-provided advertisements and may process identifiers, playback activity, device/browser information, diagnostics, and approximate location under Google's policies. StreamFrame does not receive or combine that information with data from other apps or websites.
This website
This WordPress website does not intentionally use analytics, advertising pixels, account registration, comments, or a contact form. The hosting provider necessarily processes ordinary connection logs such as IP address, request time, requested URL, and browser information for delivery and security.
